How to change link color?

How do I change link colors in this theme? I can only change secondary link color but not primary, so all my links are just black which isnt really practical considering this is a news theme where people need to tell links from normal text. I tried to roll back the theme and at that point my links were blue but when updating to the current version I dont have any way to change link color as not even CSS code is working. Do I really have to roll back to an older version to do the trick?
