• Hello,

I have been using TranslatePress successfully on pre- site editor sites for a few years.

Using it with Twenty Twenty Two, each time I click on a navigation item in the French (translated) version, it brings me to the English version of the site and I need to re-select FR to read the page in French. Not ideal at all for a bilingual site.

Does this have to do with the way the menu navigation links are added to the navigation block?

Does anyone know how I can make this work properly?

I have asked the plugin developers for guidance on this as well, though I have a feeling it may be theme related.

    Thanks!

Hi @tracyrosen – I’m not familiar with the ins and outs of that plugin, so your best bet is indeed asking them whether it’s compatible with block themes, or not. Let me know how it goes!

Hi – I have been in contact with them about another issue, the plugin is supposedly compatible with block themes. I will update this post when I hear from them about this question specifically.

Great, let me know what they say once they’re able to have a look. If they’re able to pinpoint the conflict with TT3 (or block themes in general), sharing that information would help if a Trac ticket is needed.

As a test, you could also check whether the same issue is present with other block themes, such as Twenty Twenty-Two or any of the others here.

You can use the Health Check plugin’s troubleshooting mode for this, which will not change your live site, or you can try this out on a test site.
