I’d like to know if there’s an alternative way to display the one and only feed in a page template, something like [instagram-feed] without indicating the feed id [instagram-feed feed=xxx].

I tested that the plain shortcode [instagram-feed] doesn’t work, but it would be useful in case you cancel the previous feed and add a new one. Otherwise you must update the page code everytime.

    Thanks.

    Hi @christian70,

Thank you for contacting us! Unfortunately the shortcode will not work correctly if you do not specify the feed number. If you need to change the settings of an existing feed though, you can go to WordPress Dashboard > Instagram Feed > All Feeds and click the feed’s name or pencil icon to edit it. The feed will still have the same feed number after any changes that you make, so the places where you have added the shortcode will be updated.

If I can help with any other questions or concerns, please let me know.

    Thanks!

Thank you for your quick and exhaustive reply.

In my opinion it’d be nice to be able to use the shortcode also along with the unique slug/name of the feed, not only with the id number, because it may happen to erase the feed and than to re-create it again, or to test it locally or move it to another site and its number may change.

    Best regards.
