    On Hustle, if we use Closing Behavior – ‘Do not show this pop-up across site’ for 6 or 24 hours after closing – what is the Cookie the plugin adds to the site?

    <span style=”text-decoration: underline;”>Note: When enabled, this will set a tracking cookie in your visitor’s web browser.</span>

    We need to know if the Cookie added is classed as ‘not nescessary’ or not in a scan for Cookies using a GDPR plugin such as ‘GDPR Cookie Consent’ (Web Toffee) – as the site will need to have it’s Privacy Policy updated.

    So based on the settings on the screenshot below, will the only cookie be the “hustle-hide-module-{moduleId}” cookie?

    Hi @huntbev

    It is possible your users get the

    inc_optin_never_see_again-{moduleType}-{moduleId}

    If they click on “Never see this again” below your PopUp, based on your settings I couldn’t find other than the one you pointed out and the above one.

    We have activated a pop up on a page on our own site with ‘Do not show this pop up across the site’ (6 minutes) as below screenshots. But no relevant cookie is being shown in the CookieYes cookie scanner or in Chrome inspector > Applications > Cookies?

    Also, does the below look correct for listing the cookie used for the closing behaviour?

    Name: hustle-hide-module-{moduleId}
    Provider: (website url here)
    Description: The cookie is used by the Hustle plugin for the Closing Behavior functionality.
    Expiry: Session
    Type: HTML?

    Hi @huntbev

    Just to provide an example, a hustle module with id and type = 2 will show the following cookie:

    hustle-hide-module-2_2

    By the way, I checked the https://hunterbevan.co.uk/website-terms-conditions/ page, but the pop up is not showing on my end. I reviewed the source code and no hustle modules have been added. Could you verify if the cache has been cleared to make sure the changes made are effective? Otherwise the hustle-hide cookie may not be listed.

    Kind regards

    Luis

    Hi,

    Ok, so is the below correct:

    Name:?hustle-hide-module-{moduleId}
    Provider:?(website url here)
    Description:?The cookie is used by the Hustle plugin for WordPress. This cookie is used to remember the user’s preferences for how the marketing element should behave when they interact with it. Specifically, it is used to remember whether the element should be hidden or displayed again after a certain period of time. The cookie is set when the user interacts with the marketing element, and is deleted when the user closes their browser or logs out of the website.
    Expiry:?Session
    Type:?HTML

    The pop up is no longer on the link sent before as it was only testing.

    Thanks

    Hi @huntbev

    There is only a small change necessary, the expiration is based on the time you set in the plugin settings:

    https://snipboard.io/WKmC2f.jpg

    For example I set 365 days you can see it will expire next year:

    Hi,

    If the user specifically rejects the cookie ‘hustle-hide-module-{moduleId}’ – will the pop up then show constantly?

    As if they reject that cookie the plugin won’t be able to detect the closing behaviour time?

    Thanks – can we get an update by Monday please?

    We have been waiting for 3 days

    (@wpmudev-support7)

    Hi @huntbev

    Sorry for the delay.

    Effectively, if Hustle doesn’t detect the relevant cookie and the popup doesn’t have other settings for hiding, like Visibility conditions (for instance it is limited for certain pages or posts ), the element will keep showing.

    Hope this info helps.

    Kind regards

    Luis
