I need advice “step by step” to optimize my blog safely, without risks

    Good morning. I have WP-Optimize-Clean-Compress-Cache plugin installed and in the cache settings option, at the beginning, it says:

"Generate separate files for mobile devices"
"Serve cached pages to connected users"

giving the option to activate those two options or not
Is it good to activate them? what is it for?

Does activating the page cache serve to empty the cache automatically?
What timeframe is best to turn on in "Cache Lifetime? Is 24 hours okay?

As for the tab at the top that says "Database" there are a number of optimizations that can be done:

Optimize database tables

The tables will be optimized (48).

run optimization

Clear all post revisions

1,812 post reviews in your database

run optimization

Clear all automatic drafts

1 automatic draft entry in your database

Is it good to do them? (recommends you make a backup with UpdraftPlus before doing that).

As for the "Images" tab, can compressing them affect the way you view them on your computer or mobile?

In the "Minimize" tab give this NOTICE: CSS, JavaScript and HTML minification is an advanced feature.

While turning it on will work fine for most sites, it may require specific configuration to work properly on your website.

    Cache for mobile and logged in users – If you have a lot of mobile specific content, then enable the option for mobile, if not, then don’t

    For logged in users, if you have a lot of users this can generate a lot of files which your hosting may not be able to deal with. Please see here for our FAQ: https://getwpo.com/wp-optimize-launch-new-feature-user-specific-cache/

    Cache lifespan – this depends on how often your site is updated. If you are regularly updating your site I would suggest less than 12 hours (this is because WP nonces expire every 12 hours). On a cached page, the nonce can expire in the background while?its ID is still present in the HTML source code of the page. If that happens, the HTML source is referencing an invalid nonce and things can break.

    ?However, if most of your site’s pages are not using nonces or there isn’t content globally present on many pages (such as widgets) that would need to be refreshed , this can be set to run a lot less frequently. If you’re unsure about this, set it to less than 12 hours . You can use 0 if you want to disable the automatic cache clearing triggered by Cache Lifespan.

    DB optimisation – I would do all of the suggested ones (the riskier ones are unchecked by default) Do a backup first though. There is a risk with anything to do with the DB but if your site ever goes down, restoring it is likely to be a much simpler process so in my opinion, the risks far outweighs the potential benefits.

    The image compression. It doesn’t change the responsive design elements of your site, so it should not specifically change the way your site is viewed on mobile devices.
