• This plugin used to be the ‘go to plugin’ for any installation to ensure that content sitemaps and all associated settings were as they should be to get the best results.

But, the new version is awful – it is not user friendly, not easy to navigate or find anything, requires constant scrolling and it seems as though you have taken key features away to force us to have to pay for the premium version.

Isn’t that effectively blackmail considering some of these features used to be free?

Such a shame – Yoast is ruined …

  • Agree! It seems as if these things are created because of a ‘need’ to come with updates from time to time and a general idea (and misunderstanding) that UI should be more fancy. With this update (and previous updates), things are getting too complicated. Simple things like clicking on which parts to include in the sitemap now requires numerous search and clicks, while this could be done in 5 seconds before.

    Hi @rwassell and @moxie,

    Thanks for your review.

We’re sorry to hear you don’t like the new UI introduced in Yoast SEO 20.0. We took great care to design the new interface and aimed to improve the user experience and make it easier to find and use the features the user needs.

Of course, we totally understand that adapting to the new UI may take some time, especially if you’ve been using the Yoast SEO plugin for years. The new interface includes a search box in the top-left corner you can use to find the setting you’re looking for. Also, this help article describes where the plugin settings are located in the new UI. Please, note that we didn’t remove any free features from the plugin in the 20.0 release.

If you still have trouble finding a given feature in the new interface, please create a new topic in the plugin forum. Our support team will look into the issue and assist you further.

    Thanks!

too bad! the open graph is now messed up. My blog does not include featured image or any meta data when sharing to any social media. terribly sorry

Hi @ecgd! In the new interface, you’ll find the option to enable Open Graph data under Yoast SEO > Settings > General > Site features. If you still experience issues, please create a new topic in the plugin forum so that our support team can assist you further. Thanks!

The Open Graph data is enabled and I saw it when I viewed page source.

But it doesn’t work when sharing!
