Which information are being sent to bank ?

    Hi there,

    I wonder which information of our business/product are being shared with bank after purchase. A customer called my number which is located in my Stripe account only, but my support number was different.

    I asked Stripe and they said they just share my public business details which are in Stripe, but they said it might be my Woocommerce plugin which shares more than that. So can someone clear this, which information of our business/product are being shared with bank after purchase ? Product name, product id, my business address ?

    I understand that you would like to know which information is being passed thru the payment gateways after an order has been placed.

    If you choose to accept payments through a gateway like Stripe or PayPal, some of your — and your customers’ — data will be passed to the respective third party, including information required to process or support the payment, such as the purchase total and your customer’s billing information. We recommend that store owners disclose that they are sharing information with payment providers in their privacy policy.

    Regarding your issue here, have you reached out to this customer and asked where did they get the contact information from as that would be a good starting point to investigate.
