     Hello, I have been having issues with the “Recap” button under VISITORS tab. No daily recap under this tab has been working, for a long time now.
    I received from you the answer pasted down below:

    Can you firstly address this issue:
    * Warning Maximum packet size: warning (It is important to configure a ‘max_allowed_packet’ size in your MySQL database of at least 64MB. 32MB configured at this time. )

    Updating PHP may also assist.
    Regarding the archiving issues, can you please add the following constant in her wp-config.php file:
    define('MATOMO_SUPPORT_ASYNC_ARCHIVING', false);
    If you can make the changes above and check again to see if they help.
    Hope this helps

    Unfortunately, the request made from you here is not doable: If one website doesn’t hold a dedicated host service plan, there is no possible access to MySQL database’ max_allowed_packet’ size.

    What should I do from here now? My hosting plan is a shared (mutual) hosting plan.

    Thanks

  • Bonjour,

    Si vous n’avez pas accès au fichier wp-config.php, avez-vous essayé de l’ajouter avec Code Snippet ?

    J’ai vu votre post car j’attend aussi une réponse du support Matomo sur une erreur critique…

    Most of the shared hosting plan, have access to cpanel. Will you be able to go to File manager and the script to wp-config.php file:?
    define('MATOMO_SUPPORT_ASYNC_ARCHIVING', false);

    I would recommend to contact your hosting provider and ask for their help to add it.

    Thanks for that prompt answer,

    Hosting Plans supports usually do not assist users in FTP modifications.. Where exactly should I insert this :

    define('MATOMO_SUPPORT_ASYNC_ARCHIVING', false);

    into the wp-config.php file?

    Thanks

    @roro111 since you have access to the wp-config.php file, please insert the string or code I provided to the last line.

    Bonjour Roro,

    SI tu y as accès via FTP, tu peux :

    • Le télécharger (pour le restaurer au cas où il y aurait un problème)
    • éditer le fichier depuis ton Cyberduck ou Filezilla en ajoutant la ligne de code juste avant ‘That’s all, stop editing!

    Sinon, il y a des plugins pour accéder aux fichiers sans passer par le FTP (file manager par exemple).

    Mais toujours sauvegarder une copie du fichier original avant toute modif !

    Ok, thanks, I will try this ASAP !

    Hope this will help!

    Ok folks, I did the trick for wp-config.php, now I purged caches and yet the RECAP tab of my Matomo is still displaying”0″..

    Maybe I need to wait some 24h and see if the RECAP is showing the daily visitors recap , at last?

    thanks

    Here are the last lines of wp-config.php where the added code line shows:

    /** Chemin absolu vers le dossier de WordPress. */
    if ( !defined(‘ABSPATH’) )
    define(‘ABSPATH’, dirname(FILE) . ‘/’);

    /** Réglage des variables de WordPress et de ses fichiers inclus. */
    require_once(ABSPATH . ‘wp-settings.php’);

    You should wait!

    Ok , great! this seems to work now.. hope to see it working smoothly from now on… By the way, thanks to Paulette56 for bringing this remark about pasting before “that’s all, stop editing!”
    That was more than necessary.

    Thanks PAULETTE regarding this blog, looking for further development on it, but not too many ideas on how to do that for now…

    @roro111 Contente que ?a fonctionne !

    Ayant quelques problèmes de dos, je dirais des conseils/exercices à faire en complément de séances (en format court pour que ce soit facilement actionnable par les futurs patients) ??
