• Hello, my website has an error saying “Error establishing a database connection“. I have checked everything that I could including checking database connection setting values.

This error has been struggled since some plugin updates.

    Thank you in advance!

  • turn on WordPress debug mode and check the error logs (https://www.ads-software.com/documentation/article/debugging-in-wordpress/)

you can also rename plugin directory to deactivate a plugin. try deactivate plugins that you last updated.

    Hi there,

My first question here is, what plugins did you update?

I ask only because a plugin update wouldn’t typically touch database configuration.
