Location not able to be set

Hello @belinda2016,

I understand there’s a problem with Square’s settings in the back end.

Woocommerce Square is not showing credit card as a payment option and I can not select a location in the Square set up that says to set location.

I believe Square takes the address of your site in WooCommerce > Setting > General so please make sure the address there is entered correctly.


Could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.? Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.


It’s also worth checking if there are any Fatal/Square error logs from WooCommerce > Status > Logs and choosing from the drop-down menu the fatal-errors.log option.

I have checked the woo settings and the address is correct. I then checked the Square set up again and location is still not able to be set.

Then try disconnecting the site from Square and then re-connect.

Thanks, yes square is enabled in all places it should be.

I have checked and there is errors relating to location.

Thanks for sending the error information.

Can you check under your Square dashboard, go to Account, and then add a location? I understood you contacted Square support about this. But please double-check if the location is added, but it is asking for an address.

AUTHENTICATION_ERROR

This is the main error we have to troubleshoot. Please head to WooCommerce > settings > Square you’ll see a button to disconnect and reconnect, please click it and make sure to configure the extension according to these guidelines.

Yay! Thank you, it has been fixed. The location was set in Square, but I disconnected and reconnected and it has appeared.
Strangely I did this in my troubleshooting and it didn’t change anything or allow a location. But, I’m very happy it has seemed to work now and credit card is now appearing as an option on the checkout page.
