Should default to list view

Thanks for your feedback, I believe people will have various opinions about it. So I’d say we should use the last choice the user made about this display mode using the browser’s local storage.

Yes BUT in the absence of a localstorage value it defaults to grid view. (Tested by opening the page in an incognito window )

I mention this as the interface in grid view is very unfriendly on a mobile (I’m using an iPhone) you can’t even determine the names of the folders.
