Field Editor Random Order

I am trying to remove some unnecessary fields from the event editor and add new ones via the Field Editor. In the Field Editor, I am also dragging the fields into a custom order so that their arrangement makes sense in the backend event editor.

Unfortunately, when I click on “Save Changes”, it re-orders the fields in what seems to be a random order that completely ignores the order of the entries when the button was pressed. The reason I say “random” specifically is that when I press the “Save Changes” button again without making any changes, it re-orders them again in a different order.

Additionally, it seems that whatever is done when pressing the button sometimes also assigns the same priority to multiple entries. Sometimes some priorities are also missing, e.g. “8” might be followed by “11” without “9” and “10” anywhere to be seen in the priority list.
