Is it possible to delete subscribers in MailPoet?

I have created many test accounts and would like to delete them but the Permanently Delete button does nothing.

Yes, it is possible to delete your subscribers from your MailPoet lists.

If you want to delete subscribers from the Trash but you can’t, this means they are either WordPress Users or WooCommerce Customers.

As these users are automatically synced between MailPoet and your website, to delete them you have to delete them first as “Users” or as “Customers” in the WordPress dashboard.

WordPress Users should be deleted as a User by going to the?WordPress dashboard > Users page: https://kb.mailpoet.com/article/133-the-wordpress-users-list

Customers added to the WooCommerce Customers list can not be removed from this list or from the MailPoet plugin, unless you delete their order from the WooCommerce plugin. They can be marked as “Unsubscribed” though: https://kb.mailpoet.com/article/278-the-woocommerce-customers-list

I have the same issue —

i have tried this, but the total MailPoet subcriber count remains the same.

Example: Total Mailpoet count is 665. I delete for example 5 WordPress users, then go to Maipoet and send those same 5 to the trash, then empty trash… but like i say the total count is still 665, not 660….

    (and site doesn’t have woocommerce)

    Hi @heatherbodlak,

It’s possible the numbers were not recalculated properly after you’ve made the changes. You can click the “Force sync” link under the WordPress Users list on the MailPoet > Lists page. And also, the button “Recalculate now” in the MailPoet > Subscribers page to force this update.

Let me know if it works!

    Hi there,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
