• Hi team,

I just upgraded to Gutenberg 15.3.1.

Right after the upgrade, the appender disapeared and hides on the left end of the editor, so the author can’t reach it.

Is teher a fix for that?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    My site is RTL

I saw that this issue was fixed in the past, but after the upgrade to 15.3.1. the issue is bacg again.

This is the old ticket that was resolved in the past:
Add Block Button between two blocks shift to wrong side when using Gutenberg with RTL language.

Hi @haipo – thanks for this report.

Could you please provide the following information to help better understand how to replicate the issue:

    • What version of WordPress are you using?
    • What’s the size of your browser window when you’re experiencing the problem? (You can use this tool and check the values at the top right.)
    • Is the issue present with all your plugins temporarily deactivated, except Gutenberg? You can use the Health Check plugin‘s troubleshooting mode for this test, which will not change your live site. If the problem goes away, reactivate your plugins one by one (while still in troubleshooting mode) to find the culprit.
    • Is the issue present with a default theme like Twenty Twenty-One? Again, you can use the Health Check plugin for this so your live site isn’t affected.
    • Could you please provide a screenshot showing the issue – or better yet, a screencast. (Feel free to use Loom or your preferred tool.)

Ah, thanks for this additional information. I’m going to reopen the related Gutenberg GitHub issue in this case.

    Hi Kathryn
First I would like to thanks you for your kind support.
I found the problem, by following your instructions.

    The problew was:
I still had active Gutengerg plugin installed and active.
I didn’t know that I had to remove it, as the Gutenberg is already a part of the Core WordPress.
Once I removed the Gutenberg plugin, the problem disapeared.
Just a humble suggestion: mayb you can raise an alert to remove the plugin when the core already has it.

Regarding you instructions, here is the full data I collected:
What version of WordPress are you using?
    Worpress 6.1.1

What’s the size of your browser window when you’re experiencing the problem? (You can use this tool and check the values at the top right.)
I tested it with 2 different browser sizes as follows:
    Current:
    Browser window size: 2560 x 1297
    Screen size: 2560 x 1441
    Current:
    Browser window size: 1920 x 937
    Screen size: 1920 x 1080

The plugin that caused the isue is Gutenberg
When is disabled it, I still have the editor and the problem is gone.

Is the issue present with a default theme like Twenty Twenty-One? Again, you can use the Health Check plugin for this so your live site isn’t affected.
Yes – I tested with twenty twenty, like you instructed.

Could you please provide a screenshot showing the issue – or better yet, a screencast. (Feel free to use Loom or your preferred tool.)

Hi @haipo Thanks for the details and for confirming that deactivating Gutenberg solves the issue for now.

Just a humble suggestion: mayb you can raise an alert to remove the plugin when the core already has it.

The purpose of the standalone Gutenberg plugin is mentioned on its main page:

    Early Access

Are you a tech-savvy early adopter who likes testing bleeding-edge and experimental features, and isn’t afraid to tinker with features that are still in active development? If so, this beta plugin gives you access to the latest Gutenberg features for block and full site editing, as well as a peek into what’s to come.

Hopefully the issue will be fixed soon! Cheers.
