    Hi there,

We currently use an alternative, it works but is missing a somewhat crucial function which is the updating of stock quantity of the ebay product if a purchase is made on the store, currently we have to do this manually.

Does this plug-in have this feature? i.e. if we sell an item on our store, does the new stock level get sent to the corresponding ebay listing?

Also, as we already have the products listed in eBay, I’m assuming they will use “their” way to link the products between the systems, so I’ll need to relist the same products when using this plug-in?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi @tnssupport

Yes, WP-Lister includes sales sync both ways, but only Pro offers such a feature, not lite.

The inventory sync of WP-Lister Pro is a background process that looks out for new sales on both WooCommerce and eBay and will automatically reduce the stock level quantity on the other platform. When the quantity reaches zero, the listing is ended or the product is marked as out of stock.

New orders from WooCommerce are processed instantly during checkout while new orders from eBay are fetched as often as every 5 minutes, so there might be a slight delay syncing from eBay to WooCommerce. This limitation will hopefully be lifted in the future.

This explanation can be found as well here:  How does the inventory sync work?

In order for stock updates to take place from sales automatically you must be using pro, enable the settings in the link discussed above. Also, your listings must exist in WP-Lister’s database which would be the “Listings” page of WP-Lister.

To get listings into WP-Lister you either need to list Woocommerce products to eBay with WP-Lister or import your existing listings from eBay to WP-Lister/Woocommerce with our importer add on plugin.

In regard to manually updating listings, if your listings are locked, after updating the listing in Woocommerce it will update the price and or stock to eBay automatically. If your listings are unlocked, after updating the Woocommerce product, you will need to browse to the “Listings” page of WP-Lister and revise the “Changed” listing(s) in order for the changes to take place on eBay. You can learn more about locked vs unlocked listings here: About locked vs unlocked listings

    Kind regards,

    John
