• Hi!

    I have been using your plugin for many years. A little over 2 years ago I implemented google analytics 4 by following this guide (which uses your plugin): https://www.tagmanageritalia.it/how-to-move-from-enhanced-ecommerce-tracking-to-google-analytics-4-ecommerce-tracking-with-google-tag-manager/

    In this guide there is a link to a EEC template which I used. At the time I could not find a GA4 guide on your site, this is why I used the guide above.

    However, I recently discovered that you now offer a GA4 setup guide with your own template. I would therefore like to change my template to yours.

    I am however a bit unsure how to do this, a bit afraid that things might go wrong.

    What steps should I follow to make sure this ends up the correct way?

    I have listed the settings for my two GA4 ecommerce tags down below. Hopefully this gives some insight.

    GA4 - EEC
    Configuration tag: GA4 Pageview
    Event name: {{GA4 - Event Name}}

    Event parameters:
    items - {{GA4 - Items}}

    Trigger:
    All pages
    GA4 - EEC Events

    Exceptions:
    GA4 - Event name - Purchase

    GA4 EEC purchase
    Configuration tag: GA4 Pageview

    Event name: {{GA4 - Event Name}}

    Event parameters:
    items - {{GA4 - Items}}
    transaction_id - {{DLV - ecommerce.purchase.actionField.id}}
    affiliation - {{DLV - ecommerce.purchase.actionField.affiliation}}
    tax - {{DLV - ecommerce.purchase.actionField.tax}}
    shipping - {{DLV - ecommerce.purchase.ActionField.shipping}}
    coupon - {{DLV - ecommerce.purchase.ActionField.coupon}}
    value - {{DLV - ecommerce.purchase.actionField.revenue}}
    currency - {{DLV - ecommerce.currencyCode}}

    Trigger:
    custom - gtm4wp.orderCompletedEEC

    Hello? ??

    I’ve been reading your guide a few more times. I understand now that it is a container I am supposed to download, not a template.

    Does this mean that GA4 and UA should have separate containers in GTM?

    Right now I have all GA4 and UA triggers together in the same container.

    Hello,

    you don’t need to answer this anymore. I seem to have made it work ??
