• My client is wanting a map which just shows all of their service providers across central Texas. I have created categories which will be used to filter the results by services provided. Is it possible to filter the map without the user having to type in their location?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi!

    Hi again Cal,

Unfotunately the search field is a mandatory field for the search form, and it cannot be removed.

The good news is that we have been working for a while in a new version of Wp Store Locator (3.0) that will include a lot of new features, such as automatically start a search when a category is selected, and much more.

With the new version, you could potentially hide (not remove) the search field, so the users would be stuck in the initial view with your predefined start point, and as they are checking and unchecking the categories in the form, the corresponding stores would show and hide.

    I hope that helps.
    Regards,
