Featured Image Reverting
-
I am using this plugin on my newspaper site https://www.mazatlanweekly.com/ along with the WordPress Automatic plugin and The Fox theme. In the settings I have ‘check “don’t get URL from post content” option, in the post editor, by default’ set to ‘ON’ as well as ‘use the found image/video as featured image/video’.
There are occasions when WordPress Automatic adds a post from an RSS feed that it uses the wrong image. In this case I remove the wrong image from the post and provide a link to the correct one.
All of my posts are scheduled posts – for a time shortly after midnight of the next day.
In this process, almost all of the posts where I have manually changed the image revert back to the original (wrong) image by the time the post status changes from scheduled to posted. If (when) I enter this change a second time, and immediately set the post as posted instead of scheduled, the change works fine.
I am wondering if there may be an automatic update that runs in the background on posts that have not been posted, and that is ignoring the ‘don’t get URL from post content’ setting?
Any assistance on this would be appreciated – this one problem requires that I remain awake until after midnight so I can identify and correct the reverted posts.
Thanks! The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]
