    is there a way to hide this message and not pre-select the PayPal as payment method, if PayPal was selected as payment method in the previous placed order?

    Hi @beris,

    This message should only appear on the Checkout page when the buyer is currently in the express checkout state after having pre-authorized a payment, e.g. from the single-product page.

    After completing the payment, this status should disappear, so when a buyer visits the regular Checkout page, all payment methods incl. the PayPal smart buttons are displayed.

    From your message, it sounds like this express Checkout status persists for you even after having completed the payment process, is this correct?
    What happens if you click the “Place order” button then? I assume you would see an error message?

    In any case, this would not be expected behavior and could potentially be the result of a third-party plugin conflict.
    But before we investigate deeper, please confirm this behavior persists after completing the payment process.
