After updating wordpress 6.1.1 my old running site disappeared

  • my side pose running on wordpress version 6.1, I saw and update of wordpress 6.1.1 so I chosen to update the same and I have taken a backup before that.

    after I updated my site my old site was totally gone and I am not able to restore it

    I have also found that by old themes are not visible.

    also my old themes and plugins are not visible

    I have tried to restore from the backups but I could not get my old site back please help me how can I get out of this problem

    • did the pre update backup include current database and all files/folders? (i.e. a full backup). if yes, then maybe there was a problem during the restore process from your backup. if you are using a plugin for backup and restore, please start a topic for the plugin’s support team.
    • if you look inside the database in your webhosting account, are all of the tables filled with the pre update data? if you are not sure where to find the database in your webhosting account – please contact the support team for your webhosting account.
    • if you look inside the file manager in your webhosting account, are all of the filled with the pre update folders and files (ex. wp-config, wp-content)? if you are not sure where to find the folders and files in your webhosting account – please contact the support team for your webhosting account.
