Restoring to Localhost shuts access

    Earlier, I easily restored my website to localhost.

    Now, I tried many times, but after showing “Finished”, it says session expired, tries to login to main website, and don’t know what happens, my localhost refuses to connect. Using latest version 1.23.3. Please help

    Hi,

    Are you able to to login to the dashboard and click on the “Continue Restoration” button?

    No. What about the dashboard, the localhost screen itself does not come in front. Tried accessing the same from different browsers, no gain.

    Tried the same process again, but same result. (I just wanted to make sure, in case of emergency, this procedure worked.)

    Can you post the restoration log from the wp-content/updraft directory of your site using a tools such as pastebin.com

    Are you restoring the backup on the same site that the backup was made on?

    No, I was trying to restore on my Localhost.

    I abandoned that localhost, created a backup of my main site, using a different plugin and restored that on my new localhost in almost no time.

    Anyway, thanks for your reply.
