• Is there any way to change how images are presented inside of the media library. I’m always working with landscape images and sometimes it’s hard to find the image I’m looking for because all the images are cropped to square inside the library. Is there any way through the functions php to create a filter or something that would present images inside the media library in landscape rectangles? For example instead of 149px x 149px they would be 225px wide and 149px tall.

You can change the thumbnail image dimensions in media settings, and choose whether to crop or scale. This will only affect newly uploaded images. To alter existing images, use a plugin such as “Regenerate Thumbnails”

Thanks @bcworkz but that’s not what I was talking about. I’m referring to how the images are displayed on the media page… not the size it’s storing thumbnails for use on the front end. In other words, when you go to the media page rather than seeing square thumbnails with of the images (149px x 149px) they would be 225px wide and 149px tall.
