• I ran an update for the first time without really realizing what I was actaully doing. I own a mac and the computer practically runs itself so I am not used to jumping through hoops when it comes to updates. Thats why I don’t use a pc!

After running this update I received a message that 3 of the plugins I had failed and now I can’t find them nor do I remember what they were. I have a site that I have my customers visit to download files, but when you click on a file it sends you straight to the homepage…any ideas why?

I tried posting a new file and it kept asking me for a password to download the file. Just had to keep clicking cancel to make the box go away because my login didn’t work.

All the pictures I had posted to the site are not showing up as well. No idea why that happened but when I tried to upload new photos, the password box came up again. “wp-80 files…..”????

This website is a great tool for my customers, but now its just a headache!

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Thank you!

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
