• Up until just a few days ago I was able to make the titles of my posts bold?(and/or italicized) by simply writing the title in bold and/or italics in a Google doc or a Word document and then cutting and pasting it into the title section of the draft of the post. Now I can no longer do that; the title just appears without bold or italics no matter what I try. Is there a way I can still make my titles bold?

Thank you so much for any help anyone offers!

  • Your post title appearance can be controlled through the Typography options under Styles (where you can control how titles appear across your entire site) and the Post Title Block settings.

For individual posts, I suggest browsing to the “Single” template in the Site Editor:

    /wp-admin/site-editor.php?postType=wp_template&postId=twentytwentytwo%2F%2Fsingle&canvas=edit

From there, click the post title and change the Typography > Appearance setting to “Bold”. After saving, your post title should now be bold. Hope this helps!
