    Hi,

I currently don’t have an installation guide for ImageMagick on CentOS 7 (which is a pretty old distribution), but you can try to install the latest ImageMagick rpm. You can find the instructions here:
    https://imagemagick.org/script/download.php#linux
But I’m not sure this precompiled CentOS package provides AVIF support.
I’ll try it myself this month to verify whether it’s working.

    Hi b3hnam,

I tried to build/install the latest ImageMagick with AVIF support in CentOS 7, but this isn’t (easily) possible. I ended up with lots of unresolved dependencies. The libraries in CentOS are simply too old – I would advice to upgrade to CentOS 9, that would probably take less time than trying to make ImageMagick+AVIF work in CentOS 7.

I know this isn’t the answer you’re waiting for, I hope it’ll take you in the right direction ??

    Hello and respect
    Thank you for your answer
What kind of system do you know suitable for implementing such programs?
    Thanks

    Hi,

Many linux distributions/configurations are capable of running ImageMagick, but we use the following configuration – which is quity common:

    • Debian 11
    • Apache 2.4
    • PHP 8.2 / PHP8.2-FPM (from DEB.SURY.ORG)
    • ImageMagick (6.9)
    • php-pecl-imagick

It goes beyond this forum/plugin to give a complete guide, but the following article provides a nice start: How to install/upgrade PHP 8.2 on Debian and Ubuntu systems ? PHP.Watch
