Images Files – bloat?
-
I’m completing the process of changing a fairly large site, with a fairly large number of images, to WordPress. After a month I’m very happy with progress (working offline/local using XAMPP) and it’s getting time to bite the bullet and upload/go live. Scary.
Wordpress makes alternative versions of images and now I’ve got a folder of over 4,000 images potentially to upload . . . Is there a way to reduce this, by sifting out the versions that aren’t actually being used/displayed on the site? Or otherwise managing the whole topic of images?
Thanks for any assistance.
