Plugins updated failed and website down

    My site failed to update to the new 6.2 update. I attempted to update plugins but kept getting update failed. Checked site and it was blank – restored a previous version and it works in incognito only.

    I’m at a loss of what to do. After restoring, I tried updating plugins first before updating to new wordpress and i kept getting update failed.

    Not sure why it works in incognito and not regular site.

    And now it looks like it’s in maintenance mode on my phone. Help please!

  • I also see the maintenance page. If an update failed, this mode might still be active. You can solve it by logging in via FTP and deleting the .maintenance file. The support of your hoster can help if necessary.

    You should be able to see which error occurred during the update in the error log of your hosting. The support of your hoster can also help you with this.

    I deleted the .maintenance file and now the site on incognito isn’t working. I’ll reach out to my host for the support as well.
