Template File not overriding with Divi Theme

I followed the instructions to create a wp-event-manager folder in my DIvi Child theme. My changed files though are not being used. Is there a known issue with Divi? I did also try with a twenty twenty three child theme and did not see any changes either. I’m trying to customize the content-event-listing.php file.
