• I’ve been running Jetpack on my site for the past 10 years. Something has changed in the past few weeks and it caused a PHP Fatal Error on my site. I had to do a total restore. I was locked out of WP Admin, and couldn’t even login. It has taken me hours and hours, and has been a total mess. The minute I deactivated Jetpack, site was working like new again. I noticed Jetpack was going downhill a few months back when it starting sending false flags the site is down when it’s not (then it would say site is back up again only a few minutes later), then it switched to totally bogging down my site and basically freezing it (so incredibly slow to load), then it totally breaks it altogether (you cannot even access the page at all- you get the white screen of death). Not compatible with latest WordPress and I wouldn’t recommend this plugin anymore. It used to be good quality and do what it is supposed to, but unless you want a Fatal/Critical Error and for it to totally mess up your site and cause a huge headache, I highly recommend uninstalling this plugin IMMEDIATELY. Perhaps the developers should actually support the free version and not make it all about profits/money. My guess is they purposely “broke” the free version (i.e. no longer support or come out future updates/releases) to force people into paying. Well you’ve created a mess and a string of 1 star reviews. You’re aren’t getting away from this one. I never write reviews, but you prompted me to. I am disappointed- a customer of over a decade that has had to take the time to even write this and also warn other people of the problems ahead.

    Errors from the code (from error log and debugging mode). This list is NOT exhaustive and this is just a sample of some of the error codes. There are dozens and dozens of these (you have been warned):
    PHP WARNING: Declaration of Jetpack_IXR_Client::query() should be compatible with IXR_Client::query(…$args) in ….. plugins/jetpack/class.jetpack-ixr-client.php on line 30

    Cron reschedule even error for hook: jetpack_sync_full_cron, Error code: invalid_schedule data: [“schedule”:”jetpack_sync_interval”,”args”:[],”interval”:300}

    PHP Deprecated: Array and string offset access syntax with curly braces is deprecated in … plugins/jetpack/modules/shortcodes.php on line 98 and line 130; function get magic_quotes_gpc() is deprecated in … plugins/jetpack/class.jetpack-signature.php on line 221

    Unparenthesized a ? b : c ? d : e is deprecated. Use either (a ? b : c) ? d : e or a ? b : (c ? d : e) in plugins/jetpack/modules/shortcodes/soundcloud.php on line 167
