• OK, I’m getting frustrated. I and my client both love the overall look of the default list view and the fact that it is ADA compliant. That’s why I’m switching from Timely All in One.

But I have the problem of needing to limit the number of events displaying for my client. I am using shortcode because this has to fit into two separate existing pages on my client’s website.

I know I can show 1 month or 2 months, etc. but they need to show only the upcoming 5 or 6 events regardless what month they fall in.

So is there a way to limit the number of events? If we cannot do this, it might be a deal breaker for using this plugin.

The default list view is just a different way to display the grid view; it’s not a list of events, but a list of dates. So you can limit it by dates, but you can’t limit it by a specific number of events.

There is an upcoming event list that is a list of events, but it’s very bare-bones; expected to be completely templated by the user.

Yeah, I looked at the upcoming but couldn’t get it to look nice especially since we like the look of the list with the calendar icon and the + to open it up.

But in my mind, dates and events are the same thing, so is it possible to limit the number of dates that show? I’ve tried all kinds of variations but just haven’t gotten it down to only 5 or 6 showing.

You can set the time segment to the weekly view, so it only shows the next week of events. e.g [my_calendar format="list" time="week"]

Unfortunately that won’t do it if there are no events that week. They want 5-6 of the next dates/events to show no matter if the following week or month to let their members know what to expect. I’m going to see what I can do to make this work for them. But that would be a very nice feature to include.

    Thank you for your responsiveness!
