Sort not working on categories with high product count

I have approx. 100 or so categories on my webshop, some categories have only 2-3 products in them, while others have over 1000+

When I try to rearrange products in some of the larger categories it simply does not work.

When I click on Save Changes button inside the plugin I don’t even get the usual message “All products are rearranged now.”

Is there something I can do to resolve this?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

WP version: 6.2.
Woocommerce version: 7.4.0.
PHP 7.4.33
PHP Time limit 3600
WP Memory Limit 512mb
Max Upload size 2gb
