Event titles in WordPress – same for all events

    This just popped up as an issue yesterday. I have three multi-site websites using this plugin and the backend (wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=tribe_events) is showing the same title over and over for every event. If you click Quick Edit or Edit Event, the correct information is showing up but this makes it certainly hard to find which event to update. The information shows correctly on the front end as well. It’s just the admin events overview page that repeats the most recent event title for all events.

    This is NOT happening on a regular wordpress website – only on multisites. One extra tidbit is that these are all hosted on WP Engine so I can’t test on multisite hosted elsewhere.

    This MAY be connected to the user type (I’m a super admin) as the WP Engine tech was able to login via their system and the display was correct.

    Any thoughts?

    We have received similar reports of this issue on a multisite network, which may be related to the Object cache being enabled on your server.

    We recommend that you request WP Engine to disable Object cache for you and see if that resolves the issue.

    OK that worked. Is that going to be a permanent fix or will you release a workaround allowing the object cache to be turned on at some point?

    Thank you for letting us know that the workaround worked for you. Our development team has already logged the issue and is working on a permanent fix for it. Once the permanent fix is released, you won’t need to disable object cache anymore.

    With our latest release of?The Events Calendar 6.1.0, we resolved an issue regarding a conflict with Object Cache causing duplicated event titles in the WordPress admin.

    We recommend that you update The Events Calendar to the latest released versions.?As always, we suggest testing updates on a staging site first and having a recent backup ready, but it should all be smooth sailing. If you implemented any workarounds, you can remove them after updating the plugins.
