    Today the plugin was updated, and I lost the translation.

    I have gone to translate it again with Loco Translate plugin, and there is no way, I have created a new Spanish language, and no matter where I put the file I can’t translate it.

    By default the files created .po and .mo by the plugin were called my-movie-database-es_ES.po / .mo and I have edited it and left it as my-movie-database-es.po / .mo as well as the rest of the languages in the /languages directory, but it doesn’t work at all.

    Hi @chiflaos,

    `I created a new translation using LocoTranslate. I chose the system option to put it in languages/plugins/my-movie-database-{locale}.po and it worked fine.

    Then I moved the loco translate generated file my-movie-database-es_ES.mo from the above location to plugins/my-movie-database/languages/ and renamed it my-movie-database-es.mo and this also worked.

    So I don’t know what is going on here.

    Can you provide any more info?

    Are the widgets loading? I tried to find one on your site but could not. Then I got an error message. If they are not loading, can you delete the plugin and reinstall it please?

    I’ve started again from scratch, deleted the plugin and reinstalled and activated it. In Loco Translate I created the Spanish language again and selected System.

    I’ve done several translations and nothing, it still doesn’t work, I’ve updated the cache in case that’s what it was, but it still comes out in English. The funny thing is that the results returned by TMDB are in Spanish.

    I’ve tried using my TMDB API, or leaving it empty…

    I’ve looked through FTP and in principle the files are correct, the only option I can think of is to edit the original .po template, but I wanted to do it the right way, once finished I’ll send you the translation.

    This has nothing to do with the translation but maybe it can be useful. The script doesn’t work for me without shortcode, that is, if I activate Movies for example, and I make an entry, I get everything correct while I’m editing the entry and I can choose the movie, but when I save and publish it doesn’t show up. If I go back to edit the entry in question, there is no movie selected. And if I choose it again, the same thing happens, so I can only work with Shortcode, it’s something I was testing yesterday and it happens whether I choose the Gutenberg editor or not in the options, but it doesn’t affect me because I have always used it like that with shortcodes.

    I don’t know what more information I can give you, I have the latest version of WordPress and all the plugins updated, I use the Rehub template, which also uses Elementor. For the cache I use W3 Total Cache, but I think none of this has to affect the language.

    Can you make sure you have installed v3.0.1 please (and not v3.0.0)?

    And can you disable the cache plugin after that completely? Just to test.

    I just checked and yes the plugin is version 3.0.1.

    I just deactivated the cache plugin (right now it is deactivated) and nothing remains the same.

    I was using the previous version of the plugin and it was working, this was after yesterday that I know how I have the automatic updates, it updated itself and lost the translation. The other time I did it without problems, with Loco Translate I have always been able to translate everything well without problems.
