• Hello,

I’ve started using this plugin and it’s great! It doesn’t seem to be working for smaller “thumbnail” image sizes, though. According to this post, the plugin looks for the class “wp-image-{ID}” to make replacements.

The theme I’m using puts “wp-post-image” class on its images.

Is there a way I can make this work?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi @bgoosen, thanks for reaching out and your kind comments on the plugin.

I’ve checked your site and from the thumbnails I checked I can see WebP images being served. If you want to share an example I’d be happy to check this further. Feel free to share a recording of your own experience if you wish, using a service such as Imgur or Jumpshare.

Note also that there are cases whereby a WebP image won’t be generated. One example if whereby you upload an already optimized JPEG image whereby a WebP version of that image would be higher in file size.

    Oh, I may be mistaken!

https://pagespeed.web.dev/ was telling me it was still serving JPGs for the 400 x 300 versions of the images, but I can’t seem to replicate that with a real browser.

That’s interesting, thanks for the update. I’m happy to keep this support topic open if you wish to check this further, otherwise I’ll mark it as resolved. I’ll also perform some checks on my side based on your experience.
