    I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING BUT SOMETHING IS NOT RIGHT. pLEASE HELP ME.

    it says this :

    Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
    Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
    Are you sure that the database server is running?
    If you’re unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your host. If you still need help you can always visit the WordPress Support Forums.

    i keyed in the correct username and pass but ti keeps saying the same thing.

    Are you trying to install WordPress on your local system ?? Make sure to enter the correct MySQL Database Host. Mostly it will be localhost but incase if you changed it while installing MySQL then you have to give proper host…

    Hello guys, I don’t want you to install it for me but I also need help! ??
    This is the situation: my brother sent me the host, user name and password and I installed FileZilla so I can access to server!
    I downloaded WordPress 3.0.1, but I don’t have a clue what is my next step! ??

    I read the install instructions on the site, but I am still not sure what should I do now when I have a domain, server and a wordpress!
    Heeelp… ??

    @selmaofficiel, you forget to edit the wp-config.php file with the Database Details before uploading to the server dude…

    Anyway i did this for you and the site is working now….

    @selmaofficiel hehe take it easy, there is still a long way to go… ??
    I already played around with free hosting and I am familiar with
    Control Panel and installing joomla on it, but now I don’t know anything about this hosting I have and that is the problem. My brother just sent me details for accessing it, but I know nothing about it… ??

    Do I have to install WordPress through Control Panel, or I can just upload it to server and that’s it?

    @greg007, if you have FTP Details and MySQL Database details then you can goahed with the installation… It is really very simple..

    You have to ask your Hosting Provider. In your case, ask your brother. If he also don’t know it then ask him to get it from the Hosting provider and get it..

    You will need Database Name, Database Username, Database Password and DB Host
