Fatal error after 6.2.1 -> some issues

    Hi,
    I have to join the chorus of all those who have got into massive trouble after this very crucial Update 6.2.1.
    I had a fatal error and after that I’m struggling to get my website running properly again:

    So what’s broken right now:
    1) As so many other users are keeping on reporting: All short codes in my templates except those in template parts are broken. For now and as a quick “solution” (which seems not to be one really) I fixed this in creating template parts for the broken short codes.

    But which for me is even worse is this issue:

    2) My static Home (Front) Page does not show up anymore, no matter what’s set in the “Dashboard -> Settings -> Reading”. I selected
    “Your Home page displays “A static page” -> Homepage: “home”; Posts page: “Blog”. Unfortunately the system seems to ignore this settings as it is not working at all. Instead “Your latest posts” page is displayed.
    When logged in to WP though its displayed properly.

    I do know this ticket.

    But there is still the issue with 2) with my static Home page: when I’m logged in as admin the correct static Home page is displayed. But when I’m logged out and go to gietl.earth there is only my Blog Posts page displayed. But there should be my Home page displayed which because I selected the according checkboxes in Settings -> Reading (static home page = home, posts page = blog).

    I can’t see a relation of 2) with the short codes issue.

    On your home page, I see excerpts of SIX posts with “Weiterlesen”? Am I missing something?

    The one with the excerpts of SIX posts IS NOT my “home page”, its my “Posts Page”.

    Well, sorry but you don’t quite understand what the point is.
    Here are some screenshots. I really hope that someone will get the point of this issue:

    So the point is that no one clicking my URL will get the correct Home page, but will only see my Blog Posts Page with the excerpts which is not what I want.

    Just realised that its working again although I did nothing. Like magic…
    Pages are displayed accordingly to the WPDashboard -> Settings -> Readings.
