Sidebar widget has disappeared in shop

    Hello,

I am running a site on a twenty seventeen child theme and the shop is powered by Woocommerce.

I used to have a widget in the sidebar of the shop showing different product categories and the woocommerce basket.

I updated the Woocomerce plugin and the twenty seventeen theme – now the sidebar widget has disappeared.

This is the page in question:

I can still see the old widget in the Appearance > Widgets category in the back end. But when I am in the Customiser on the front end it says there are no widget areas on the shop page.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

    I understand that you are experiencing an issue with the sidebar widget on your shop page after updating WooCommerce, and the Twenty Seventeen theme, is that correct?

    As a first step, can you try deleting and then re-adding the widget via Appearance → Widgets and see if that resolves the issue?

    If this makes no difference, please navigate to WooCommerce → Status → Tools, and do the following:

    • WooCommerce transients – Clear
    • Expired transients – Clear
    • Clear template cache – Clear

    Should the issue persist, can you please share the following:

    • System Status Report: navigate to?WooCommerce?→?Status. Select?Get system report?and then?Copy for support.
    • Fatal Error log: Share a copy of any fatal error log found under?WooCommerce?→?Status?→?Logs.
    • Screenshot(s): please share a screenshot of what exactly you are seeing on your end in Appearance → Widgets, as well as the Customizer.
