    Hi Tobias,
I use the Tablepress plugin without any problem, but since several months I have to deactivate it whenever I work with Divi Builder, i.e. every time I work on my site: without it, the registration or the refinement of what I’m trying to do doesn’t happen and this message appears instead:
“Notice: The WP_Block_Type_Registry::register function was called incorrectly. The block type “tablepress/table” is already registered. Please read Debugging in WordPress for more information. (This message was added in version 5.0.0.) in /var/www/html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 5865 Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /var/www/html/wp-includes/functions. php:5865) in /var/www/html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 1427 Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /var/www/html/wp-includes/functions.php:5865) in /var/www/html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 1430″… I don’t really understand what to do with this… ??
I can’t find any similar case, WP and Divi Builder versions are up to date, and it doesn’t work since several sub-versions anyway…
I have to deactivate Tablepress, work with my Divi Builder, then reactivate it, it only works that way!
Thank you very much for your feedback.

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

This is very strange, and I don’t really have a clue what might be going on here. Also, you are the first one reporting such an issue, which is strange as I’m sure that many more people are using TablePress and Divi Builder at the same time. Therefore, I assume that maybe another plugin or the theme might be playing a role here.

Could you therefore maybe try setting up a test site with just TablePress and Divi Builder, to see if that makes a difference? (You could also use https://tablepress.org/demo/#try for that, and install Divi Builder there.)

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Thank you for your feedback,

So I did a series of tests, and it came out as follows:

    • If I have only the TablePress plugin active, Divi Builder works.
    • Only one other plugin prevents it from working if I activate it at the same time as TablePress: Relevanssi!

So there is something going on between the two, but the message still talks about TablePress:
Notice: The WP_Block_Type_Registry::register function was called incorrectly. The block type “tablepress/table” is already registered. Please read Debugging in WordPress for more information. (This message was added in version 5.0.0.) in /var/www/html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 5865 Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /var/www/html/wp-includes/functions. php:5865) in /var/www/html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 1427 Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /var/www/html/wp-includes/functions.php:5865) in /var/www/html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 1430

    Thank you….

    Hi,

ah, thanks for testing this! Yes, I think Relevanssi has a TablePress integration — which however should no longer be needed. Essentially, they interact with the TablePress loading mechanism to make sure that the TablePress Shortcodes are properly registered even in the admin area. However, TablePress does that itself now (since TablePress 2.0), so that this integration should no longer be needed.

Therefore, I suggest to check if there’s maybe an option to turn this off, or otherwise contact the Relevanssi team and suggest that they remove that.

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hello,
Thank you very much, I’ll look into it, at the moment I can’t do without Relevanssi either, but the problem is more specific, je regarde tout cela thank you!

    Hi,

sounds good! Please let me know what you find!

I think if Relevanssi doesn’t offer a setting for this, you could get in touch with them and suggest to remove the double-registration of the Shortcodes, as it’s no longer needed.

    Best wishes,
    Tobias

Well, an IT guy changed some rights and I don’t know what configurations on our server…, and it seems to be working normally now!
Thank you very much for your reactivity and your advice!

P.S.: In case you haven’t, please rate TablePress here in the plugin directory. Thanks!
