Image Gallery – How to link image to page url

  • In a CMS site, I want to have an image gallery where if you click on an image of Wedgwood pottery it takes you to the Wedgwood page and if you click on the image of Spode pottery it takes you to the Spode page.

    I can make this work if I insert the image directly into the post (but can then only seem to get one image per line whereas I want 2-3 columns of images) but as soon as I insert gallery then clicking on the image doesn’t work. – to test, I used the same image inserted into Post and left in gallery.

    Also, is there any code I can add into my stylesheet that will put a border (and preferably background colour)round each individual image – when I tried adding border code I got a border round the whole image gallery rather than each image.

    Many thanks to anyone who can help – at the moment, WordPress is having lots of little idiosyncracies!!

    I’ve solved by adding the WP Table-Reloaded plugin – not sure about what the effects on loading time will be with a table?????
