• Hi guys,

    We’ve received an e-mail from Clearpay about making sure our client websites are using the current marketing language by June 1st (otherwise it is a criminal offence apparently!).

    However, the Clearpay plugin hasn’t been updated for 4 months.

    If we are using the current Clearpay plugin, is there anything we need to for our clients to keep them compliant?

    Thanks for your message.

    The reason that the Clearpay Gateway for WooCommerce plugin has not received an update for the new marketing language is due to the specific assets that it uses. These assets are hosted on a cloud-based CDN and do receive updates without requiring a plugin update. The plugin has been using these assets since version 3.3.0.

    As a general rule, the Clearpay team recommend following the WordPress guidelines in regard to keeping plugins up to date whenever updates are available.

    The assets related to the plugin should update automatically as long as the installed version is 3.3.0 or above, but the team would like to assist with verifying that this has happened.
