I have several custom page types. Now I want to set a “normal” page from a custom page as a parent page. I see in the parent popup only the other pages of the same custom page type.
How can I set the herachies between the different Custom Page Types?

More or less WordPress doesn’t allow that, at least through generated UI.

I haven’t attempted anything to circumvent that, whether it be my own UI or through direct database manipulation since post_parent is just a post ID value.

I’m admittedly curious what the usecase is for this, and if there’s perhaps a better way to achieve what you’re attempting.

I have certain Custom Page Types that I have underneath a “normal” page. This structures my wordpress and I can control access better.

Noted. That said, not sure how to best go about this with the details about WP core not facilitating the cross between post types and hierarchy.
