WordPress is not showing any plugin or core update

Probably your webhost locked the updates? Is it a shared hosting?

Have you been able to resolve the issue?

If not, you could:

1. Create a backup of your site,
2. Download a fresh copy of WordPress and decompress it,
3. Access your site’s directory/folder on the server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your web server control panel,
4. Delete everything except the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory/folder,
5. Copy all the content in the decompressed WordPress folder except the /wp-content/ directory/folder,
6. Paste them in the site’s directory/folder on the server.

This should replace all the core files without damaging the content and settings.

7. From the WordPress admin dashboard, go to “Settings” > “Permalinks,” and Save the settings.
