    Hello there,

We have specified the following title in the SEO-Title field:

“Frauenparkplatz: Drohen Sanktionen, wenn M?nner dort parken?”

However, when you look at the HTML-structure of the respective page

    https://www.bussgeldkatalog.de/frauenparkplatz/

a completely different <title> is outputted:

<title>Wer darf auf einem Frauenparkplatz parken? - Bussgeldkatalog.de</title>

    How can I fix that?

    Looking forward for your advice,

    Roman

    Hello Roman,

Thanks for reaching out about your SEO title. Please share the following screenshots:

    Dear Maybellyne,

I would like to add that this issue affects only a few pages, most of them output the desired title-text.

    Here you go:

Do you have any idea what is the origin of this “malfunction”?

    Best,

Thanks for sharing the screenshots, @roman17trushanov. Apart from the title not showing as you have entered it in the plugin, the meta description output is also missing.

Often, we see problems occur in combination with another plugin or theme. The fastest way to rule out any conflict is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Twenty-Two.

Please test this on your development or staging site if you have one. If not, we recommend using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. This plugin has a troubleshooting mode, which does not affect normal visitors to your site.

If you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process: How to check for plugin conflicts

If you feel uncomfortable doing this yourself or if this does not solve your issue, our Yoast SEO Premium plugin comes with one year of (technical) support.

    Dear Maybellyne,

I have followed the instructions specified on this page:

    https://yoast.com/help/how-to-check-for-plugin-conflicts/

The issue appears regardless of Yoast being activated or not activated.

If the issue occurs when Yoast SEO is not active, this means our plugin is not causing the unexpected behavior. -> This seems to be the case, sadly..

Do you have any piece of advice advice on how can I proceed further into debugging this issue?

    Best,

    Roman

    Hello @roman17trushanov

Since you mentioned that the issue occurs even when Yoast SEO is deactivated, then the issue is beyond the plugin. Your theme could be outputting the wrong title. Have you considered speaking with the theme author or your web developer?

Alternatively, we could take a closer look if you reach out to our technical support team by purchasing a Yoast SEO Premium plugin that comes with one year of (technical) support.
