    What is the purpose of the call in the script to
    https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.4.2/jquery.min.js etc, please?
    Is it possible to run this plugin without it? Or by making the call to a locally installed eqivalent?

    Problem solved. Have downloaded and installed a copy of jquery.min.js locally, and am referencing that in the script.
