• I would give a 5-star rating, however, after re-installing MonsterInsights I found it had also installed Userfeedback Lite, All In One Seo Pack, Wpforms Lite and OptinMonster – all were just surreptitiously installed without asking. In a day and age where plugins are more aggressively and unnecessarily taking up space in my WordPress dashboards it is vry disappointing to have to look for a MonsterInsights replacement. I’ve been using this free plugin for over 5 years on more than 10 WP websites, but I guess it’s time to look for a replacement.

The information MonsterInsights provides in the dashboard and the fact that it makes it easy to integrate GA4 plus Universal Analytics is very convenient, that’s 3 stars. Installing plugins I have to go identify and then remove -2 stars.

    Hi @webmasterms,

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us.

I’m sorry about the recommended plugins. It’s not our intent to cause clutter. We try to provide as much value as possible to our users by suggesting plugins that we integrate with directly for more reporting features because a lot of users aren’t aware of them and can benefit greatly.

If you would prefer to not use our suggested plugins, you’ll be able to either deselect them for installation in the Setup Wizard, skip that step entirely by clicking on Skip for Now, or if you decide after completing the setup wizard to not use them, you’ll be able to remove them like other WordPress plugins.

We really appreciate you for giving us a try and if you have any suggestions for the things you’d like to see in the Lite version, please let me know and I’d be happy to share your feedback with the team.

    Thank you.
