I’m finding that text on a page/post is flush against the edge of the screen. This is most noticeable on mobile devices but is also present in desktop view. Left and Right padding appears to be applied to the Header and Footer but not the main body of the page.

This may be user mistake rather than a theme issue, as alignment within full site editing in general isn’t intuitive in my experience. However, when I switch over to the Twenty Twenty-Three theme the padding is present.

I’ve updated to Spectra One 1.0.0 but still have the same issue.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Thank you Judith,

That’s helpful as it suggests it’s something I’ve changed that has caused it. I’ll try and fix it, but if I can’t I’ll submit a support ticket.

    Thank you again!

Just a quick update in case anyone else has the issue. There were two issues:

    1. Switching to using the ‘Page sidebar’ template fixed the issue, so it was something I had changed in the original template that was responsible.
    2. When using the core Group block in a page/post disables the root padding if the block is set to full width. No idea why, but this is a Gutenberg quirk rather than a theme issue.

Thanks to Judith for pointing me in the right direction.
