We just received an order via WooCommerce, and it displays the Credit Card number in the order details. We have a payment processor handling the charge, so we really don’t need this information available via the website (if we got hacked for example).

Is there a way we can stop WooCommerce from saving the Credit Card # used in the transaction in the order details/history and from any other location on the website?

  • Hi,

We just received an order via WooCommerce, and it displays the Credit Card number in the order details.

May I ask which payment processor is the site using to receive the payments? I was checking on my testing site that has the latest version of WooCommerce and the Stripe plugin to process payments via debit/credit card, and this is how the order looks on my end:

To clarify, does all the card number is showed? Or just the last 4 digits?

To help you to investigate, it would be great if you share your System Status Report, found under WooCommerce > Status, on your site.

    Cheers.

The whole number shows. We use Authorize.net.

    Hi,

    I understand.

Can you switch the site theme to Storefront temporarily, and then disable all plugins except WooCommerce and Authorize.net? Check again to see if the issue persists, if not, it means there is a conflict, and you can then switch back your theme to the original one, and then the rest of the plugins (checking again after each plugin reactivation), until you find the cause of the issue. More info: https://woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/

Let us know how that goes for you.
