Google Analytics and Composite Products Revenue Reporting
-
Hi there,
I’ve set up WooCommerce Google Analytics Pro, and I’m getting enhanced ecommerce tracking data in my GA4 property. My woocommerce store’s primary product is a Composite Product, using Woocommerce’s official Composite Product plugin.
I’m getting data in GA4 on purchases of these composite products at the top-level, plus data on the items that make up the composite. However, GA4 is showing revenue of $0 for the top-level composite product, and showing accurate revenue numbers for the items that make up the composite (which consist of add-ons and upgrades).
How can I get the Composite Product revenue to report in GA4? The part that’s confusing to me is that revenue is of course considered in cart totals and checkout totals, so I assume Analytics must be pulling revenue from the products IN the cart, not the cart totals. Is there perhaps a code snippet I can add, or a custom attribute or piece of data to the Composite Products to report revenue?
