    Hi guys,

There’s a new error message appearing at the top of the Image Optimisation page in Litespeed cache:

Cloud Error: Please try after 3m 36s for service img_optm-new_req

Does this mean that the cloud server is getting a good kicking?

no really , there is a time limit per request , each request must be 5 minutes apart from last one

    Hi @qtwrk

So the error message appears even though just ONE image was uploaded?

I’d hate to see how long it would take, and how many error messages would be generated when I upload my usual 20 or so images!

    (@qtwrk)

it does not matter how many images was uploaded , even no image was uploaded but images are not finished to optimize , there is still 5 minutes limit per request.

Ok then, just to prove a point that there’s something desperately wrong with the Litespeed Cache Image Optimiser, that Litespeed Cache refuses to admit even exists.

Settings in the Image Optimiser settings are :

    Auto Request Cron – ON

    Auto Pull Cron – ON

It’s now 13.38 (GMT) and I’m about to upload TWO images.

I’ll keep posting every 30 minutes until both images are optimised.

Still no progress at 13.43, though the obscure error message did not appear.

once you sent the optimizaiton request, usually it would take about 5-15 minutes (if image servers not under heavy load) , but could be up to 2 hours (if heavy load) , also depends on number of images though.

    (@deeveearr)

    Hi @qtwrk

Even 5-15 mins means that I would have to wait longer than usual if I were composing a blog post.

Anyway, it’s now neary 2pm (GMT) so I’ll go and check the images.

    Thread Starter deeveearr

    (@deeveearr)

Right, So still no progress, so I’ve also sent a report to Litespeed via the toolbox report:

    DDLTFJBS

I’ll check again at 2.30 (GMT)

    Quick question:

I notice that my ‘fast queue usage’ was reset recently – is there a way to obliterate this ‘fqu’ setting and push all images straight to Quic Cloud?

    Thread Starter deeveearr

    (@deeveearr)

2.30 (GMT) and there’s still no sign of my TWO images being optimised.

This makes a mockery of any workflow aspirations, and also Litespeed Cache’s image optimisations.

It’s all a little like waiting for a dial-up mainframe from the 70’s to show one photo.

    I’ll check again at 3pm.

it will always use the fast queue when it is availeble

from my log , I can see it has notified the site to pull the image

do you have wp cron properly set ? I would suggest to set up a system cron to ensure the cron triggered

@deeveearr I have archived your many 30 minute updates. Please stop that now.

This is a free opensource plugin. The developer and the people they designated as plugin support are 100% volunteers here, giving their time and support for free.

They don’t need to reply or support anyone here. You are not owed anything here let alone support. Though it is fantastic when they do.

If this plugin is not working for you then consider moving onto another plugin or cache service. The every 30 minutes update is not for this site.

NOTE: I have nothing to do with this or any plugin. Your 30 minute replies were hitting a spam queue on this site and I cleaned that up.

    Hi @jdembowski

It was not my intention to hit the spam queue, I was merely demonstrating, along with quite a few others, that there is something drastically wrong with this plugin as it stands.

It may well be that I change to a new caching plugin, in fact, I’ve just been researching a few of them, but it would be a pity if I had to leave due to one feature not working properly.

I’ll leave it now, and I’m sorry for tripping over your spam queue!

    Hi @qtwrk

With it being the thirteenth of the month, and me being hugely superstitious, I’ll leave it until tomorrow to send the mail.

At the moment, I’ve got ALL image optimisations turned off in LSC, and am using Short Pixel, which runs and completes within two minutes for a whole media gallery page – a little like what LSC SHOULD be doing, rather than having to wait in excess of 8 hours for ONE image to get optimised.

    See you tomorrow!
