Problem with MySQL – “Error establishing a database connection”

  • I have been using this plugin for many years and it is very good. However, recently I have a problem with this plugin.


    After updating to the new version, I get the error “Error establishing a database connection”, mysql uses more than 100% CPU resources. When disabling this plugin, the web is back to normal. I find it very difficult to understand. I’m not sure if this error is coming from this plugin or another plugin.


    I am using this plugin with Pixwell theme, mysql running on MariaDB 5.5.68. Does anyone have the same problem as me?

    Does not look like a PVC plugin issue. Looks like something in your enviroment to be honest. PVC is not doing any DB recalculation that would generate that large CPU usage. It might have lot’s of very lightweight records, but that should not affect CPU.
